Tranby Students Receive Honourable Mention at Short+Sweet for Schools

Year 9 and 10 perform their own plays

On Sunday 12th June, nine of our Year 9 and 10 Tranby College students took part in Short+Sweet for Schools – a competitive ten minute play festival, held at the Subiaco Arts Centre. This inaugural event saw the performance of 14 different plays, of which Tranby students presented two: ‘Death for the Dollar’ and ‘Going Nuts’. Both plays were written and performed entirely by the students and whilst neither were judged to be winners on the day, ‘Death for the Dollar’ was given an honourable mention for Best Script by a Student/Students. (Bravo everyone!)

An over view of the plays is provided below. Congratulations to the students and their Drama Teacher, Ms Erin Hutchinson.
