EDUCATION TAX REFUND

Dear Parents

As you may be aware, the Rudd Government has introduced a 50 per cent Education Tax Refund to help parents cover the costs of educating their children.

This tax refund is available to Family Tax Benefit Part A eligible parents, or those with children receiving Youth Allowance, Disability Support Pension or Abstudy.

Eligible parents can now claim a 50% Tax Refund on:

Laptops

Home Computers (and related costs)

Home Internet Connections

Printers

Education Software

Trade Tools (for use at school)

Text Books

Stationery

This support helps parents at tax time, so it is important that parents keep their receipts for any of the above items.
