Enrolments and Contacts
Tranby College does not place any restrictions on who they will consider for enrolment. The first step is to register your interest by completing an enrolment form along with some detailed documentation.
From the 2nd April 2013, prospective families completing an application form for the enrolment of a child will be charged the first $100 of the enrolment fee when they lodge their form and the final $400 when they accept a position at the College. The initial $100 will not be refundable if the family does not further pursue the enrolment. As is currently the case, the final $400 will not be refundable if the family accepts a position but the student does not start at the College.
These changes reflect the administration costs of dealing with a large number of applications that do not proceed to enrolment, especially in Kindergarten.
Many families take advantage of Open Days to visit the College, or they phone the College and arrange a tour at a time convenient for both parties.
When places are available we offer positions according to the date on which the application for enrolment was registered with us, with the only exception being preference for siblings and children of members of staff. It is becoming increasingly common for families to register their children a number of years before they are due to start, especially in the major intake years of Kindergarten and Years 5 and 7.
Early in the year before the student is due to start we move into the formal enrolment process. An interview is arranged with the relevant Head of School. The interview is designed to help families to get a better sense of Tranby and for us to start to get to know the potential student. In almost every instance a position is offered at that time and parents have two weeks to accept by paying the remaining $400 of the non-refundable Enrolment Fee for each student accepting a position at Tranby College.
