Enrolments and Contacts
Tranby College does not place any restrictions on who they will consider for enrolment. The first step is to register your interest by completing an enrolment form, some detailed documentation is needed at this stage but no money is required. Many families take advantage of Open Days to visit the College, or they ring the College and arrange a tour at a time convenient for both parties.
When places are available we offer positions according to the date on which the application for enrolment was registered with us, with the only exception being preference for siblings and children of members of staff. It is becoming increasingly common for families to register their children a number of years before they are due to start, especially in the major intake years of Kindergarten and Years 5 and 7.
Early in the year before the student is due to start we move into the formal enrolment process. An interview is arranged with the relevant Head of School. The interview is designed to help families to get a better sense of Tranby and for us to start to get to know the potential student. In almost every instance a position is offered at that time and parents have two weeks to accept by paying a non-refundable Enrolment Fee of $500 per student.
Enrolment information and registration forms can be obtained by ringing the College on 9524 2424, or by emailing tranby@tranby.wa.edu.au
Enrolments for 2012 and 2013
This year the Middle School has four Year 7 classes for the first time. The flow on effect of this will mean that there is a strong possibility that there will be limited or no places available in 2012 for students wishing to enter the College at Year 8. This is the College's preferred position where there is the one entry point into the Middle School.
If you have your son or daughter's name down for Year 8 in 2013 or know someone who does, I encourage you to contact the College and discuss bringing the enrolment forward to Year 7 in 2012.
